The Guardian Angels
Synopsis
Antoine Carco, the very Parisian owner of a famous cabaret, is an astute and selfish businessman with a sure touch. But suddenly his turbulent and secret past catches up with him in the shape of an old army friend who crossed over to the wrong side of the tracks. This man calls him from a phone booth in Hong Kong, fatally wounded by a bullet. He reminds him that he saved his life several years before and makes him swear to come and fetch his son Bao, a five-year-old Chinese boy... and 40 million dollars! Carco sets off on a crazy adventure that brings him into contact with the very upright Father Hervé Tarain and, even worse, their supernatural doubles or rather "opposites": an honest Carco and a cynical Tarain...
