Biography
Interested in journalism, Alix Delaporte worked at the Capa agency, where she trained in directing. She collaborated in different television programs. At the same time she studied scriptwriting at the FEMIS before distinguishing herself as a scriptwriter for television. She wrote and directed two short films Le Piège with Roschdy Zem and Comment on freine dans une descente in 2005 (Lion d’Or for Best Short Film at the Mostra in Venice in 2006) in which she directed Clotilde Hesme. She happened to work with her again five years later in her first feature film Angèle et Tony presented at the Mostra in Venice where her two actors, Grégory Gadebois and Clotilde Hesme were both awarded with the César for Best Promising Actress and Actor.
The film was a success in festivals, it was sold in more than twenty-five countries and won the Prix Michel d’Ornano (Michel d’Ornano Prize). Alix Delaporte met again with the duo formed by Grégory Gadebois and Clotilde Hesme for her second film Le Dernier Coup de marteau.
