CANAL + Spain is a branch of the leading French television channel.
To buy Short Films:
- Maximum Runtime: 20'
- Types: Fiction, animaion. Recent short films (from last two years). Comedies always fit well. No documentary.
- Version: Original version
- Terms of contract: 150 euros per minute. One year licence rights for the international short films and six months licence rights for the Spanish ones. Exclusivity for Spain and Andorra.
- Types of rights: Pay TV / SVOD
- Exclusivity : Yes
- Broadcast: On the one hand, shorts are broadcasted as complement of the programme planning, in order to fill in holes between programmes. On the other hand, we have a weekly programme entitled “Historias Mínimas”, which is a 1 hour programme every Tuesday at 20:00 hours. All short films are also available at our VOD platform.
- Price per Minute: 150 €
- Presence at festivals and markets: Annecy, Clermont, Medina del Campo (Spain), Cinema Jove (Spain), Gijón (Spain).
We acquire between 100-120 shorts per year, 65% international and 35% Spanish ones. 19 french short films acquired in 2020.
