Autumn: October in Algiers
Synopsis
This is a story of a family - of all families - faced with the depressed social atmosphere and glumness of everyday life in Algeria. Islamic fundamentalism and intolerance are on the rise everywhere. On October the 5th, young Algerians take to the streets, overturning all symbols of power and setting off popular uprising that will last for several days. Then the army is calld out, and the deployment of inexperienced young recruits leads to tragedy...
