Corn Island
Synopsis
On the Inguri River, a natural border between Georgia and Abkhazia, strips of fertile land form and disappear in rhythm with the seasons.
An elderly Abkhaz man and his granddaughter grow corn on one of these ephemeral islands.
The fierce bond between them and nature is disturbed by the regular rounds of border guards from both countries.
