An Episode in the Life of an Iron Picker
Synopsis
Nazif is an iron picker. He live in Bosnia with his wife, Senada, and their two daughters. One day, Senada suffers from terrible stomach pains and must be hospitalized immediately. But, lacking any health care coverage, they must pay for the operation, which costs a large sum beyond their means.
For ten days, Nazif does all that he can to save his wife's life by asking for help from various institutions, while still trying to find more iron to sell.
