Miguel Courtois made his film debut in 1987, aged 27, with "Preuve d'amour," a feature that he wrote and directed. He then turned to television (the best film school, in his opinion) and completed sixteen made-for-TV dramas in nine years, many of which won critical praise and high ratings. He has worked with Gérard Darmon, Clémentine Célarié and Richard Berry, who also featured in "What a Shitty Day," Courtois's second film after a ten-year absence from the big screen. Courtois has recently completed his new film "Un ange," again featuring Richard Berry.
