The City of Lights, City of Angels annual French Film Festival will take place in Los Angeles from March 29 through April 3 this year.
14 French feature films and 13 short films will be presented to the Los Angeles public and American industry professionals, with the majority of titles screened as US premieres.
The following directors will be on-hand to introduce their films and answer questions from the public: Anne Fontaine, director of "Nathalie…," Pierre Salvadori, director of "Après Vous" ("After You") Francis Veber, director of "Tais-toi!" ("Ruby & Quentin"), Philippe Le Guay, director of "Le Coût de la Vie" ("The Cost of Living"), Marceline Loridan-Ivens, director of "La Petite Prairie Aux Bouleaux," ("A Birch Tree Meadow"), Jean Veber, director of "Le Pharmacien de Garde" ("The Pharmacist") and Michel Boujenah, director of "Père et Fils" ("Father and Sons").
As regards short films, a special afternoon dubbed "A Short Afternoon" will present 13 French productions. Each of these films will also be screened prior to the feature films selected.
This festival is organized by L’ARP (France's Association of Authors, Directors and Producers),
with support from SACEM (France's Society of Authors, Composers and Editors of Music) and the French Consulate in Los Angeles, along with their US partners, the Directors Guild of America, the Motion Picture Association and the Writers Guild of America.
