2010 will go down as an excellent year overall for French films in the United Kingdom, with 2.6 million admissions registered.
Attendance figures for French films in the UK in 2010 rose by 80% over 2009, with 2.6 million spectators registered, representing 1.4% of the market (£13.34 million). In terms of admissions to French-language films, 2010 ranks in third position after 2008 (an exceptional year due to the smash hit Taken) and 2007 (2.9 million admissions). Following a significant decline in attendance in 2009, French films have bounced back to post fine results in 2010.
