Unifrance will host the 12th Rendez-Vous with French Cinema in Paris in January 2010.
Over four days, the Grand Hotel Intercontinental will welcome 400 international distributors who will be in Paris to discover the latest in French film production presented by film export companies.
75 films, including some 20 new titles, will be screened at the Film Market. Among these, Oceans by Jacques Perrin will be introduced at a gala evening event.
A press junket, now hailed as has Europe's most important event of its kind, will be held concurrently with the Film Market. 120 journalists from 26 countries will travel to Paris to meet with French artists from films that are due for release in their respective countries in 2010. Germany, the UK, and Quebec feature among the territories slated to release the largest number of French titles in the first six months of 2010.
Unifrance will also hold a press conference on Friday, January 15 at 11.30 a.m. to present French films' results for 2009. Unifrance president Antoine de Clermont-Tonnerre and our new executive director, Régine Hatchondo, will discuss Unifrance's main objectives and policies for 2010 and present a review of key upcoming industry events.
