This year’s Locarno International Film Festival will take place from August 6 through 16.
Featuring in the International Competition, Emmanuel Finkiel’s film Nulle part terre promise will be vying for the Golden Leopard alongside the minority-French co-productions Dioses by Josué Mendes and Mar Nero by Federico Bondi.
World previews of Back Soon by Solveig Anspach, La Fille de Monaco by Anne Fontaine, and Khamsa by Karim Dridi will be screened at La Piazza Grande.
Three other films are included in the Filmmakers of the Present Competition: Je ne suis pas morte by Jean-Charles Fitoussi, Kinogamma Part 1 & 2 by Siegfried, and La Vie ailleurs by David Teboul. This Section will open with a screening of three short films programmed in collaboration with the Théâtre2Gennevilliers: Avant que tu reviennes by Pascal Rambert, Le Petit chaperon rouge by Shinji Aoyama, and Malika s’est envolée by Jean-Paul Civeyrac.
The following short films will also be showcased in the International Competition: Cuilos by Paz Fabrega, Le Feu, le sang, les étoiles by Caroline Deruas, La Route du nord by Carlos Chahine, and Toi que j’eusse aimée by Emmanuel Broussouloux.
