Claude Lelouch will be in Moscow from March 20 through 23 to promote the release of his film Roman de Gare (Crossed Tracks) in Russian theaters.
Unifrance is taking advantage of Mr. Lelouch’s presence in Moscow by organizing an event hosted by the director to be held on March 21, as part of its On Set with French Cinema program.
Students from VGIK, Russia’s State Institute of Cinematography (the country’s oldest Film School, founded in 1919) will attend a presentation of Lelouch’s latest film. The filmmaker will then lead a master class held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
At 7.30 p.m., Roman de Gare will be presented as opening film at the Moscow French-Language Film Festival, at the 35mm Cinema.
The 35mm Cinema will also present a retrospective of Claude Lelouch films on March 22, 23, 26, and 27, with screenings of Un homme et une femme (A Man and a Woman), Vivre pour vivre (Live for Life), Itinéraire d’un enfant gâté, and L’Aventure, c’est l’aventure.
