The film by Laurent Herbiet is to be presented in a preview screening in Algeria prior to its French release.

In the lead-up to the film’s release in France on November 15, Battam Films and the Algerian National Culture and Information Office, in association with Unifrance, take pleasure in announcing the preview screening of "The Colonel” by Laurent Herbiet, an event held under the patronage of Algeria’s Culture Minister, Khalida Toumi.
The film will be screened at Sétif on November 11, and then in Algiers on November 12.

Laurent Herbiet, Robinson Stévenin, Costa Gavras, Michèle Ray Gavras (KG Productions), and Salem Brahimi (Battam Films) will be in Algeria to present the film. “The Colonel” was written by Costa Gavras and Jean-Claude Grumberg, adapted for the screen from the book “Mon Colonel” by Francis Zamponi (Editions Actes Sud). It is a Franco-Algerian-Belgian co-production directed by Laurent Herbiet and starring Olivier Gourmet, Robinson Stévenin, Cécile de France, Bruno Solo, Eric Caravaca, and Charles Aznavour.

The film was shot in Constantine, Sétif, El-Eulma, and Blida. Algerian actors, technicians, and extras participated in the film shoot, which took place over several weeks, with additional participation from the Algerian army.
