EuropaCorp and Rai Cinema have got together to sign a new co-production and distribution agreement.
Negotiations between the French mini-studio and the Italian outfit, entered into last year at Cannes, have just been sealed, resulting in a major reciprocal production and distribution deal, a three-year partnership placing on Europe in the spotlight.
Under the deal, Rai has agreed to co-produce 2 EuropaCorp films, and to distribute a maximum of 8 films from the French company per year, via all its distribution outlets. EuropaCorp will participate in the production of one Rai Cinema film per year, and in the distribution of several Italian films.
It is worth noting that EuropaCorp has just finalized release strategies for "Michel Vaillant" in Japan, a country that is soon to welcome "Taxi 3" and which is also showing considerable interest in "Fanfan la Tulipe."
