The latest film by Jean-Paul Rappeneau has been sold to Sony Classics: it’s clearly been a "Bon Voyage" to Cannes for EuropaCorp!
EuropaCorp has just clinched the sale of "Bon Voyage" at Cannes. The deal signed with Sony Classics, US art house division of Sony Picture Entertainment, covers North America (excluding Quebec), South America and Australia. International sales of Jean-Paul Rappeneau’s new epic have now crossed the €7 million mark, excellent results for a French film shot in the French language. It is worth adding that Sony Classics has also bought ARP’s other production of the year, "Mr. Ibrahim et les fleurs du Coran" by François Dupeyron, starring Omar Sharif. Already sold in Switzerland and Italy, the film will be released in France in September, 2003.
