The 24th Short Film Festival Clermont-Ferrand opens its doors from February 1 to February 9, 2002. The 17th Short Film Market screenings get under way on February 2, while the market stands open on February 4.
130,000 spectators, 2200 professionals and 70 companies came from around the world to attend the event in 2001, making it the international short film festival not to be missed.
The festival’s market, with viewing facilities (25 video screens) reserved for professionals, provides access to 3000 titles from recent world output, while production companies and groups promoting the latest techniques can present their wares at the market stands.
Unifrance will attend, as it does every year. Its stand at the short film market is a crucial meeting point for international film festival organizers, buyers and distributors. Unifrance will also present two 90-minute programs on Wednesday 6 and Friday 8 February. It has also published an international short film guide for buyers and distributors.
