From November 26 to 29, 2026, Unifrance will launch Series Express, a travelling festival conceived to bring French series and their creative teams to international audiences. For its first edition, Series Express will stop in Brussels and then in Amsterdam, where four French series that have never been shown in Belgium and the Netherlands will be presented. The selection will be announced shortly.
A first-of-its kind European rendez-vous for French series
Centred around train travel, Series Express offers a unique initiative that is mindful of environmental issues. The event is part of Unifrance’s ongoing exploration of evolving ways to promote French works abroad: prioritizing, whenever possible, more direct, accessible, and responsible formats for engagement.
A programme centred around engagement
In each city, the four selected series will be presented to audiences through screenings, Q&A sessions, masterclasses, and meet-and-greets with the creative teams. Interviews with the local press may also be organised.
These highlights will showcase not only the works but also the artists and professionals who contribute to the vitality of French fiction series. In Brussels, the screenings will take place at the Cinéma Galeries, an iconic venue for cinema and cultural creation in the heart of the Belgian capital. In Amsterdam, they will be hosted at Cinema The Pulse, a brand-new complex in the Amsterdam-Zuid neighbourhood featuring futuristic architecture.
A selection to be unveiled soon
The selection—an illustration of the ambition and eclecticism of French series—is made by Laurent Valière, producer, columnist, and journalist for the Culture department of France Info and France Musique, in consultation with Unifrance.
It will showcase works never before seen in Belgium or the Netherlands—with strong international potential, driven by talented French artists and professionals: actors, screenwriters, showrunners and producers.
The selection, along with the detailed programme for this first edition, will be announced shortly.
The Series Express festival receives valuable support from the sponsors of the Unifrance Endowment Fund: Accor (Great Patron), BNP Paribas (Patron), and Maison Pommery & Associés (Patron).
