Unifrance, TITRAFILM, and Visions du Réel presented a Unifrance Doc Award to the Transposition project by Vladlena Sandu at the 57th edition of this leading documentary film festival, held from April 17 to 26 in the city of Nyon, Switzerland.
This award, decided by a jury, is given to the best French production or co-production project presented as part of the festival’s Industry section during the VdR-Pitching and VdR-Work in Progress sessions.
The Unifrance Doc Award was thus given to Transposition by Vladlena Sandu, a film produced by Jos de Putter (Dieptescherpte BV – the Netherlands), and co-produced by Bady Minck (Amour Fou Luxembourg – Luxembourg) and Albin Bourgeois (Contretemps – France).
The winning project receives funding for subtitling—thanks to the support of TITRAFILM—while the French producer attached to the project receives a one-year Unifrance membership.

The members of Unifrance Doc Award jury at Visions du Réel were:
- Gabrielle Brady, screenwriter and director (Australia, United Kingdom, Germany)
- Dominic Davis, Manager of the Sundance Documentary Fund, Sundance Institute (United States)
- Gaia Furrer, Artistic Director, Giornate degli Autori (Italy)
The jury stated: “The jury is excited to support Vladlena Sandu’s new project, Transposition. With playful intentions and encounters that defy space and time, the film challenges conventional ideas of authorship and reflects on what it means to belong to a place, in a world shaped by shifting borders and slippery expectations.”
