Unifrance is honoured to announce the world premiere of Comédie Française, the debut feature of Bertrand Usclat and Martin Darondeau, at the opening of the 28th Unifrance Rendez-Vous in Paris, dedicated to French cinema and audiovisual media, which will take place from January 13 to 20, 2026.
A film produced by Thomas Verhaeghe and Mathieu Verhaeghe for Atelier de Production, and sold internationally by Charades.
Comédie Française by Bertrand Usclat and Martin Darondeau, starring Pauline Clément, Marina Hands, Guillaume Gallienne, Laurent Stocker, Benjamin Lavernhe, Julien Frison, Adeline D'Hermy, and Christian Hecq, a vibrant tribute to the great French theatrical institution, recounts, in comedic fashion, the three crazy hours leading up to a performance of Macbeth: delays, stress, technical problems, and ego clashes shake up the troupe, but if there is one golden rule at the Comédie-Française, it is that you don't cancel! Thus begins a race against time to save the performance.
The film will be presented, in the presence of the film's directors and talent (subject to confirmation), on the evening of January 13, in the sumptuous setting of the Pathé Palace movie theater, which reopened in 2024, renovated by architect Renzo Piano.
This session is reserved for international distributors and buyers accredited to the Rendez-Vous, at the opening of this year's event.
