Initiated by Unifrance in 2014, the 10 to Watch initiative aims to support the emergence of new French film artists in the international arena by raising their profiles beyond French borders (through contact with journalists, festival selectors, distributors, and foreign audiences) and thereby contribute to the constant renewal of French cinema icons.
Selected by a committee of international journalists (Variety, Screen International, Cineuropa, The Hollywood Reporter, France Inter), the directors and actors of the 2025 10 to Watch were announced this January, at the Unifrance Rendez-Vous in Paris.
Continuing its efforts to promote the young generation of French artists, particularly at major international festivals, Unifrance is organizing, for the first time, with the collaboration of the Venice Film Festival teams and the invaluable support of Ami Paris, a trip of some of the 10 to Watch to this prestigious event, which each year, at the end of summer, provides an exceptional showcase for French productions and artists.
Following the Cannes Film Festival in May, several artists from the 2025 selection will travel—some for the very first time—to the Venice Film Festival between August 28 and 30. Ludovic Boukherma, Zoran Boukherma, Julien Colonna, Sayyid El Alami, Lou Lampros, and Agathe Riedinger will attend the event.
The program for this trip includes an official red carpet event and meetings with professionals, artists, and journalists in attendance
