Unifrance is proud to be a partner for the second year running of Nouvelle Vague sul Tevere, a festival initiated by the Palatine organization to celebrate the friendship between Paris and Rome, and the twinning that has united our two capitals since 1956.
Music, encounters and, of course, the best of contemporary cinema will be on the program for the 2024 edition, to be held from July 12 to 16, which will bring together two events, organized jointly and simultaneously: Nouvelle Vague sul Tevere, highlighting a selection of French films in Rome, and Dolcevita-sur-Seine, showcasing Italian works in Paris.
Mirror programming is planned for the entire duration of the event. An open-air cinema and duplex links will enliven and connect the Parisian and Roman stages.
In Rome, Unifrance will introduce the Italian public to the 10 to Watch 2024 through an exhibition of portraits taken by photographer Marie Rouge during the Unifrance Rendez-Vous in Paris and the Cannes Film Festival. The opening will take place at the Casa del Cinema on Friday July 12.
In terms of programming, Nouvelle Vague sul Tevere will feature a fine selection of recent French hits, accompanied by a classic film.
Numerous French artists will be on hand in Rome to present their work and exchange views with Italian audiences, including Mia Hansen-Løve, Jean-Baptiste Durand, Alice Winocour, and Sylvie Verheyde.
An opportunity for Italian and French cinephiles to share festive moments around shared passions!
