The 34th edition of Sunny Side of the Doc, the international documentary market will be held in La Rochelle from June 19 to 22, 2023. In 2022, the event brought together 2,000 professionals, 400 decision-makers and 1,100 companies from 66 countries, including 270 participating in the market for the first time.
This year's program includes panels, workshops, pitch sessions, and networking activities, which will help to highlight the key trends in the creative documentary sector, and encourage opportunities for networking, project development, and international co-productions.
The 2023 edition will focus in particular on audiences: who watches what, where and why? In a context marked by a particular appetite among viewers and Internet users for documentaries in all their forms, it is pertinent to gather more detailed and in-depth data on the profile of those who watch these programs, particularly the youngest audiences.
Unifrance will host 14 member companies at its stand (B6) and, in partnership with Film Fund Luxembourg, Sodec, and WBImages, a cocktail reception showcasing French-language creations from four countries (France, Luxembourg, Canada, Belgium).
