The 33rd edition of Sunny Side of the Doc, the "international marketplace for documentary and narrative experiences," took place in La Rochelle from June 20 through 23, 2022. After an entirely online edition in 2021, which brought together 1,500 professionals, 410 decision-makers, and 891 companies from over 60 countries, the market was back as a live event, with a digital extension.
This year's program included panels, workshops, networking activities, and pitching sessions, which help to highlight key trends in the factual program sector and encourage opportunities for networking, project development, and international coproductions.
Unifrance hosted 18 member companies at its stand (B2) and organized, in partnership with Film Fund Luxembourg, Sodec, and Wallonie-Bruxelles Images (WBI), a cocktail event in honor of the French-language works from four countries (France, Luxembourg, Canada, Belgium).
