From March 18 through 25, the 12th edition of Séries Mania will take place in Lille. During the event, audiences will discover a rich selection of 56 series from the five continents, including 29 world premieres. The French programme is extensive this year, and Unifrance will have a strong presence at this major global audiovisual event.
Séries Mania is a must-attend event for both series fans and industry professionals. Professional meetings will be held in parallel with the festival, welcoming up to 3,000 accredited guests from March 22 through 24 during the Series Mania Forum and Lille Dialogues (March 24).
An outstanding French program
At the heart of the 2022 program, French creations are particularly well represented, with 17 French works in all sections of the festival: International Competition, French Competition, Short Forms Competition, New Season Premieres, Midnight Comedies.
For the first time, the opening and closing night films will be French:
- Drôle, Netflix, created by Fanny Herrero

Unifrance highlights French creation on its social networks through video dailies
As part of its new mission to promote audiovisual artists and its desire to extend this promotion to the general public, Unifrance wanted to strengthen its activities around Séries Mania for this edition.
To underscore the outstanding French presence this year, Unifrance will be present on site to capture festival highlights and will offer a daily appointment on Unifrance's social networks in the form of video dailies. These short videos will be broadcast on Youtube, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter from Sunday, March 20 through Thursday, March 24, as well as a best-of at the festival's closing ceremony on Friday, March 25.
These dailies will highlight the diversity of professions involved in the creation of fiction series by meeting with French and foreign professionals: actors, authors, composers, showrunners, producers, audiovisual distributors, broadcasters, journalists, critics, and festival programmers and directors.
