Recent months have seen the teams at Unifrance working at full throttle to promote French animated programs, notably with the attribution of the Animation Export Award during the recent Unifrance Rendez-Vous in Paris.
The Unifrance intitative aimed at the Kidscreen Summit in Miami, which was initially scheduled for mid-February and has now been postponed until July 2022 due to the global health crisis, is still being developed. An announcement will be made very soon.
Unifrance TV Export Award - Animation
Each year since 2004, the Unifrance Awards for TV Export honor the French TV programs that have achieved the highest sales around the world. The aim of these awards is to spotlight the strong appeal of French content in international markets in the fields of animation, documentary, and fiction works, in addition to highlighting the professionalism and know-how of French distribution companies.

Unifrance Rendez-Vous in Paris
For the first time this year, the Unifrance Rendez-Vous in Paris united professionals from both cinema and television sectors. TV animations clearly participated in building closer connections between the two sectors.
At the event's market, a showcase of 4 programs of French animated productions was presented at the Club de l’Etoile on January 12, 2022:
- Xilam Animation presented two programs around the license for Oggy et les cafards: Oggy Oggy, a series for pre-school children (156 x 7’'), directed by Frédéric Martin, and a reboot of Oggy et les cafards titled Oggy et les cafards Nouvelle Génération (78 x 7'), directed by Khalil Ben Naamane.
- The teams from Cyber Group Studios were in attendance to present their series Droners (26 x 22'), directed by Sylvain Dos Santos and Gregory Leterrier.
- Mediatoon Distribution showed Akissi, a special 26-min-format work directed by Alexandre Coste.
- The series Edmond et Lucy (52 x12'), directed by François Narboux, which is scheduled for delivery in the summer of 2022, was presented by MIAM! Animation (MIAM! distribution).
At the press junkets, the crew members from two French animation programs were welcomed to present their work: Sophie Audoin Mamikonian, creator of the series Tara Duncan (Princess SAM Pictures), while Raphaëlle Mathieu and Olivier Lelardoux from Cyber Group Studios presented Gigantosaurus took part in a Q&A session with foreign journalists.
