12 features. 12 shorts. Free worldwide. July 6–17, 2021!
After many long months in which almost all of the world’s theater screens were empty, we are delighted to see the progressive reopening of theaters in France and abroad.
The 2021 edition of the Cannes Film Festival, one of the first global movie industry events to be held post-pandemic, will pave the way for this newfound freedom. It is already shaping up to be a great year for French productions, with a large slate of Gallic titles to be showcased in the presence of big names as well as emerging and promising talent.
With the aim of strengthening the impact of this major movie event, the MyFrenchFilmFestival Cannes Special Edition wishes to offer all our regular audiences as well as curious new-comers across the globe the chance to take part in this grand celebration of cinema.
From July 6 to 17, 2021, you will be able to discover, or rediscover, the feature films and short films that have marked the history of our festival as well as that of the Croisette—all from the Official Selection, the Directors' Fortnight, Critics' Week, or the ACID program. In addition, viewers can discover the outstanding documentary Mr leos caraX, directed by Tessa Louise-Salomé in 2014, in order to highlight the work of this innovative and visionary French filmmaker, whose sixth feature, Annette, will open this 74th edition of Cannes.
We wish you all excellent journeys thanks to these powerful films directed by men and women who, since their first screenings, have not stopped winning acclaim around the world: documentaries, animations, dramas, and comedies that have helped throw the spotlight on French cinema for over ten years.
Save the date for June 25, when the lineup of the MyFrenchFilmFestival Cannes Special Edition will be revealed, along with our official trailer!
