The 43th Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival will take place online from January 29 through February 6, and, as always, Unifrance will be present and further lending its support.
Due to circumstances engendered by the pandemic, the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival had to reinvent its structure to highlight a program that is as heterogenous as ever. 153 films spread over 3 competitions, including 63 French films: 51 in National Competition, 4 in International Competition, and 8 in Labo Competition.
For the public, the festival has set up a 12 euro subscription to view all the short films selected in the different sections. More information here!
UniFrance will have a virtual presence at the Film Market, to be held this year from February 1 through 5, and will focus its activity on various areas of promotion and meetings.
As in past years, the Clermont-Ferrand networking breakfasts organized by UniFrance will once again take place, albeit adapted to suit the current situation. An exceptional year demands an exceptional approach. The breakfasts will take the form of "Online Meetings: Networking Session": 4 virtual meetings (February 1, 2, 3, and 4) for professionals accredited to the festival.
Each year, these meetings, set up in partnership with the Sodec, SWISS FILMS, and Wallonie-Bruxelles Images (WBI), allow more than a hundred professionals to get to know each other: buyers, distributors, festival programmers, and journalists, come here to exchange with producers and directors of films in competition.
The meeting to share information and exchange about the activities of UniFrance's short film department that took place in 2020 will be revised this year: a UniFrance session open to French producers will be held on Tuesday, February 2 from 12 noon to 1 p.m. on Zoom, in the presence of UniFrance representatives.
