The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) has announced the list of 819 new members, which includes 37 French artist and executives who will join the over 9,000 current members of the Academy.
According to the AMPAS, this "2020 class" includes 45% women, 36% underrepresented ethnic/racial communities, and 49% international members from 68 countries. 75 of these new members are Oscar nominees.
