The Canadian filmmaker Kim Nguyen has joined the Directors' Jury for the 9th edition of MyFrenchFilmFestival!
Canadian film director, screenwriter, and producer Kim Nguyen made his debut feature, The Marsh, in 2002.
After his film Truffe in 2008, and City of Shadows in 2010, War Witch thrust him center stage in 2012. The film won the Ecumenical Jury Special Mention at the Berlinale, Best Narrative Feature Award at Tribeca, was presented at the Directors’ Fortnight section of the Cannes Film Festival and nominated for the Oscar for Best Foreign-Language Film in 2013.
In 2016, Two Lovers and a Bear was presented at Directors’ Fortnight. It was followed by Eye On Juliet, which has been presented at numerous film festivals, including the Toronto International Film Festival and Palm Springs International Film Festival.
His next film, The Hummingbird Project, starring Jesse Eisenberg, Selma Hayek, and Alexander Skarsgard, will soon be released in theaters.
