The recipients of the 2018 Orange XR Grants were announced during the recent Cannes Film Festival. A partner of this program, UniFrance has joined forces with this initiative to promote new content formats.
During this year's Cannes Film Festival, the teams from Orange and the SACD officially announced the winners of the Orange XR Grants, which reward outstanding virtual, augmented, and immersive reality projects.
The three winners selected were:
- Now (no one lives here) by Jérôme Blanquet (produced by Metronomic)
- Kayak by Julie Stephen Chheng (produced by Tiny Planets)
- Kidnapping in Vostok by Jean Bouthors (produced by Les Astronautes)
A partner of this second edition of the Orange XR Grants, UniFrance had the pleasure of welcoming the program organizers and the winning producers at a breakfast event held at our Terrasse in Cannes in honor of professionals working in the field of immersive and virtual reality. This event allowed around sixty international professionals to meet and develop contacts, including buyers (Arte, Within), distributors (Wide, Diversion), public institutions (Centre Phi, Maxxi), and festival programmers (Venice, Berlin, Annecy, Geneva, Montreal-FNC, among others).
These three immersive projects will benefit from support from UniFrance and will be highlighted at events we organize and partner events.
