With 1.9 million admissions in its opening week, “Brotherhood of the Wolf” has just registered the 9th best opening week of all time in France!
“Brotherhood of the Wolf” now ranks as number 4 film for opening week results in France, after “Taxi 2", “Asterix and Obelix versus Caesar” and “The Corridors of Time: The Visitors II.”
In the Paris city and suburbs zone alone, the historical/fantasy film by Christophe Gans has pulled in 405,000 spectators, representing an impressive average of 7,200 admissions per theater.
For the film’s producers, Davis Films (Samuel Hadida), Eskwad (Richard Grandpierre) and its international sales agent, StudioCanal, this is an extremely promising launch, heralding a fine career in France. This will be taken as a very encouraging sign by the thirty-odd foreign distributors who acquired the rights to the film at script stage.
