From February 8 through 12, 2016, Unifrance will be, as it is each year, present at the film market of the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, sharing its stand with the main short film exporters.
A traditional networking breakfast will take place on Wednesday February 10 bringing together TV buyers, distributors, and international festival programmers. Jointly organized with Wallonie-Bruxelles Images and Swiss Films, this encounter will throw the spotlight on Portugal by welcoming a delegation of initiators of Franco-Portuguese projects.
This year, the 38th Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival offers pride of place to 3D and Virtual Reality (VR). The program will feature screenings of short films in 3D, masterclasses and demonstrations of 360° films, allowing audiences to discover the diversity and potential of these technologies.
UniFrance is associated with this event and will organize for the first time, with Arte and the Festival Courant 3D, a "Brunch – French 3D/VR" event on Thursday, February 11.
This convivial breakfast will be an opportunity to talk about these techniques, genuine showcases of French expertise, and to encourage international film festivals to present more of these playful and ambitious works. Programmers from around the globe (China, Canada, Finland, Australia, United Kingdom) have already confirmed their presence.
