With around thirty preview screenings held and over 14,000 festival-goers in attendance, this year's French Film Festival in Bienne, Switzerland, was hailed by its organizers as a major triumph.
Some thirty guests, including directors, actors, and producers, were present at this 11th edition of the event, which was held in Switzerland's largest bilingual city from September 16 through 20.
A number of French films were showcased at the festival in the presence of their directors and key cast members. Marguerite by Xavier Giannoli was screened as opening film and provided one of the highlights of this year's event.
The French delegation included Ariane Ascaride, Yves Angelo, Jean-Pierre Améris, and Pascal Plisson, all of whom took part in discussions with audiences.
