On the occasion of the 20th Rendez-Vous With French Cinema à New York, producer Anne-Dominique Toussaint will present a collective, ephemeral exhibition from March 10 through April 10, 2015.
During a month, the New York public will be able to discover, within the heart of a town house on 5th Avenue (where the French library, Albertine, inaugurated last September, can also be found) the atypical concept of the Galerie Cinema. Here, prestigious French and American artists from among those exhibited in Anne-Dominique Toussaint's Parisian gallery, will show the clear and permanent link between cinema and art: directors Cédric Klapisch, Atiq Rahimii, and Jan Kounen, D.P's. Ed Lachman and Agnès Godard, actors James Franco and Vincent Perez, as well as Magnum photographers Harry Gruyaert and Raymond Depardon.
The exhibition opening will take place on March 9, 2015 within the context of the 20th New York Rendez-Vous with French Cinema Today, organized by UniFrance films. This ephemeral exhibition organized in partnership with the Cultural Services of the Ambassade de France and UniFrance films, is supported by Le Fonds Culturel Franco Américain (DGA/MPA/SACEM/WGAW).
The 20th New York Rendez-Vous with French Cinema Today, organized by UniFrance films and The Film Society of Lincoln Center, will take place from March 6 through 15, 2015.
