Ernest & Célestine receives a clutch of Annie Award nominations

The animation Academy Awards have announced their nominations, among which Ernest & Celestine by Benjamin Renner, Vincent Patar & Stéphane Aubier is a strong contender for several awards.

Although the general public may be unfamilar with them, the Annie Awards are a reference in their field. Since 1972, they have been attributing awards to each year's best animation films.

For their 2014 edition, Ernest et Célestine, which is currently enjoying a fine international career, has received six nominations.

- Best Animated Feature
- Outstanding Achievement, Directing in an Animated Feature Production (Benjamin Renner, Vincent Patar, Stéphane Aubier)
- Outstanding Achievement, Character Animation in a Feature Production (Patrick Imbert)
- Outstanding Achievement, Production Design in a Feature Production (Zaza & Zyk)
- Outstanding Achievement, Writing in a Feature Production (Daniel Pennac)
- Outstanding Achievement, Editorial in a Feature Production (Fabienne Alvarez-Giro)

The 41st Annie Awards ceremony will take place on February 1, 2014 at UCLA’s Royce Hall.
