Synopsis
Woyzeck is a career soldier in an old fort. His wife, marie, lives in the village. He married her and gave her a child; however he has never told her that he loved her. when he is not passively obeying his superiors, Woyzeck listens to the wind with his friend, Andre. Marie allows the ludicrous Drum Major to seduce her. In the closed world of the fort, the Captain and the Doctor heap sarcasms on Woyzeck, using their power without moderation to dominate him and tell him that Marie is unfaithful. One evening, Marie flirts openly at the village inn with the Drum Major. Woyzeck wants to interpose but even physically he ends up being dominated and his rival thrashes him. So Woyzeck takes refuge in his territory by the pond. Marie refuses to discuss matters, pushes him awaay after a violent dispute and stays alone with her remorse. Karl, their child, joins his father by the pond and they spend the night curled up against one another. Woyzeck has made up his mind. He buys a knife from a tough...
