Synopsis
If there is an American filmmaker who excites people and generated passions for decades, it’s Spike Lee. Gifted and challenging as a director, he made it possible for numerous Black Americans to be able to shine, and become important, to recognize them in Hollywood when a lot of Black actors were only considered for small and clichéd, and token roles. He also paved the way for the emergence of a new wave of Black movies in the United-States, by putting African Americans in positions of power. Spike Lee tries to decipher and speak about African American people lives, social and racial issues and their relations to other communities.
