Synopsis
In 1815, Edmond Dantès, a young sea captain, was unjustly imprisoned on the eve of his engagement to the beautiful Mercedes. The victim of a conspiracy, he was accused of Bonapartism and imprisoned at the Château d'If, an island off the coast of Marseille. After 18 years of captivity, he manages to escape. Thanks to the treasure of Monte Cristo Island, he begins a new life under the name of the Count of Monte Cristo. Now rich and powerful, Dantès is determined to exact his revenge by making those who sent him to prison pay...
