Synopsis
Little Marguerite lives a triple mourning: her mother died giving birth, her dog must be put down, and then Barbe, her nanny, is violently dismissed. The child grows up in great solitude, animals and nature being her only companions. Under the gaze of a demanding father, steeped in ancient culture, she is however preparing to become a writer.
