Synopsis
The construction of the Congo-Ocean railroad from the equatorial forest of Brazzaville to the Atlantic Ocean was one of the most colossal projects in French colonial history. Between 1921 and 1934, it claimed nearly 20,000 deaths among the African forced laborers. With unedited archives, this film delves into the roots of colonization and bears witness to its dreadful violence.
