Synopsis
Seven years after having unravelled the mystery of hieroglyph, Jean-François Champollion enters the temple of Abou Simbel.
The moment is crucial : after four months of exploration, he has a meeting with Ramesses the Great. The emotion, the excitement and the worry are all mixing up : what if his deciphering system was not working completely ? When coming out of the meeting he can finally say it : « I have the right to announce that there is no change to be made on the hieroglyph alphabet… our alphabet is good ».
