Flesh and Desire

A Feature film by Jean Josipovici

Produced by Isarfilm

Release in France : 18/06/1954

    Synopsis

Mylène (Viviane Romance) is the sensuous wife of farm-owner Mathias (Peter Van Eyck), who has recently hired itinerant laborer Giuseppe (Rossano Brazzi). Sure enough, Mylène and Giuseppe inaugurate a torrid affair, with Mylène as the aggressor. Shortly afterward, Mathias disappears, and when a mangled body turns up, the illicit lovers are accused of the crime. When Giuseppe does show up, it is to late to prevent a tragedy of near-apocalyptic dimensions.
