Bangkok, a perpetually expanding megalopolis. In its center, Thaniya Street, a red-light district destined to a Japanese clientele. Luck is one of its queens. Her earnings help her large and extended family that lives in a north-eastern province, near the Laotian border. One day, she crosses paths with Ozawa, a former client and lover who lives in a small room in the slums. When Ozawa must go to Laos, she accompanies him in order to introduce him to her family and to give him a last chance. Far from Bangkok, Ozawa aspires to a quiet life, but he hasn't taken into account the scars of colonialism and wars. Not those of Luck.
