Synopsis
A strange green knight makes his entrance into a Middle Age celbration and challenges the young knights present to strike him with his own ax provided that he returns exactly the same blow in one year and one day. Sir Gauvain accepts and cuts off his the head with one blow. But the green knight gets up, collects the head and leaves, and reminds Gauvain about his meeting in one year and one day.
