Synopsis
Victor Young Perez, 136 fights, 91 victories, 27 of which were knockouts, the World Flyweight Champion is in the ring. Opposing him: Kurtz, the German soldier, 8 inches taller and 40 pounds heavier than he is.
Around him, the camp ovens' chimneys spit out the ashes of his comrades in misfortune. And yet, encouraged by his brother Benjamin, who has also been sent to the camp, and by the thousands of silent gazes, Victor, a little Arab Jew, will stand his ground against these monsters for fifteen rounds.
During the horror of this fight, Victor will see his life pass before his eyes: his carefree youth in Tunis with Rachid, Maxo and Benjamin.
He'll rediscover love with beautiful Mireille. He'll relive his glory and his descent into hell, a very pleasurable hell compared to the unspeakable present, which Kurtz's blows bring him back to.
