Synopsis
Bernard Blier plays Monsieur Pascal, an idealistic French teacher whose unorthodox methods meet with resistance from both his superiors and his student's parents. Conversely, the kids are crazy about Pascal, who enables them to absorb information and intelligence at an incredible rate. Gradually, the fuddy-duddy oldsters come to realize Pascal's value. Interestingly enough, many of Blier's opponents are not as much against his methods as they are against the whole notion of public education!
