Samba and Comuba are a blind couple and for thirty-five years they’ve been negotiating Dakar’s traffic together. A public transport strike forces them to go to the city by foot. They cross fields that are the city’s only green lung. Samba walks ahead with his cane that gives him the power to command. They sing, they talk and argue the way that many old couples do. They imagine the world surrounding them. And then, all of a sudden, magic intervenes in the form of a whistle.
