Synopsis
Thirty-year-old Stéphane is a brilliant, ambitious biochemist with a fantastic career. He’s got a great girlfriend and his future looks bright.
When he’s called to his dying grandmother’s bedside, he goes – but more out of duty than love. Hence he finds himself back in Alsace where he was born, tending to the woman known as “Muetter.”br>
A cousin, with whom he was once close, and a caring, devoted neighbor have settled in the family home.
As Stéphane wanders through the village of his childhood, memories slowly rise to the surface and lead him towards an unexpected denouement.
