Synopsis
A Japanese tourist comes to Paris for three days. The hotel where she’d reserved a room turns out to be a dilapidated dump that has been vaguely touched up and is run by a tramp. This warm-hearted eccentric transforms the tourist’s idea of Paris when he escorts her around the city. Surprises and unexpected pleasures abound and she is charmed by the man’s originality and kindness. Although initially disconcerted, she discovers that human relationships have more importance than the material aspects of life.
