Synopsis
Life is slow in the Belgian town of Genappe, with its sugar refinery and clarification ponds full of rotting red beets. Migrating birds stop here to rest. A couple's daily life is turned upside down when their young son dies. This story about the tragic event and its aftermath is treated like a fantasy tale.
